Energy Audit Training

'Energy

The Building Performance Institute offers nationally recognized professional certification, company accreditation, and quality assurance programs in home performance contracting. Many government and utility sponsored programs that promote energy efficiency require BPI certification in order for contractors to participate. BPI certification has also been adopted as a requirement by some state Weatherization agencies such as New York and Indiana. BPI certified professionals generally begin with the Building Analyst Professional certification and then acquire a specialty in Envelope, Heating and/or Multifamily depending on what type of work the contractor performs. Why take the Energy Audit Training

BPI Standards have been crafted with one important fact in mind: The house is a system and everything is connected. The relationship between all interconnected systems of the house is the key to its overall performance, efficiency, and durability. Moreover, home performance is essential to the health, safety, and comfort of occupants. Certified BPI professionals are trained to quickly target, diagnose, and solve household performance problems such as mold, mildew, ice dams, drafts, and high utility bills to name a few.
